Preserve Your Wedding Flowers as a One-of-a-Kind Work of Art

Your wedding bouquet was created for one extraordinary day—but its story doesn’t have to end when the wedding is over.

I believe wedding flowers can become something more than a preserved keepsake.

They can become art.

As an artist in Naples, Florida, I approach wedding bouquet preservation as a creative process. Each bouquet has its own colors, shapes, movement, and personality. Rather than simply drying flowers and placing them inside a frame, I use the original flowers as my artistic material, creating a composition designed to preserve both the memory of the wedding and the beauty of the bouquet.

From Wedding Bouquet to Timeless Floral Art

Every bouquet is different, and every finished piece should be different too.

A romantic arrangement of ivory roses may inspire a soft, minimal composition. A colorful garden bouquet may become a more expressive piece filled with movement and color. Tropical flowers, orchids, greenery, wildflowers, and delicate details can each suggest a completely different artistic direction.

That is why I don't believe wedding flower preservation should look the same for every bride.

I study the flowers, their natural forms and colors, and create an individual composition around them.

The result is not simply preserved flowers.

It is a one-of-a-kind work of floral art created from your wedding bouquet.

2D Pressed Wedding Bouquet Art

For brides who love an elegant, contemporary look, flowers can be carefully pressed and transformed into a 2D floral composition.

Once preserved, I arrange the individual flowers, petals, stems, and greenery into a new composition while maintaining the character and feeling of the original bouquet.

The finished artwork can be minimal and modern, romantic and organic, or more expressive depending on the flowers and the bride's personal style.

Custom matting and framing then become part of the overall artwork.

A pressed wedding bouquet can look beautiful in a bedroom, living room, hallway, or alongside wedding photography.

Instead of looking like something stored from the wedding, it becomes something you actually want to display.

3D Wedding Bouquet Preservation

Some brides want to preserve more of the original dimension and shape of their flowers.

For these bouquets, 3D wedding flower preservation offers a different artistic possibility.

The flowers are carefully dried while retaining as much of their natural form as possible and then arranged inside a custom shadowbox.

Depth allows me to work with the bouquet almost like a sculptural composition.

Flowers can overlap. Stems can create movement. Individual blooms can become focal points. Small details from the wedding can also sometimes be incorporated into the design.

The result is a dimensional piece of wedding floral art that celebrates the bouquet without simply reproducing it exactly as it appeared on the wedding day.

Your Flowers Deserve More Than Preservation

Preservation is important—but preservation alone is not the final goal.

Your flowers deserve more than preservation. They deserve a beautiful second life as art.

After a bouquet is dried or pressed, an entirely new creative process begins.

Which flowers should become the focal point?

How should the eye move through the composition?

Should the artwork feel symmetrical or organic?

How much negative space should surround the flowers?

Should the frame disappear quietly around the piece, or become an important part of the design?

These are artistic decisions.

They are what transform preserved flowers into a finished artwork.

Custom Framing Is Part of the Art

The frame is not an afterthought.

Frame style, depth, matting, background, proportions, and glazing can completely change how preserved flowers are experienced.

Depending on the artwork, I may recommend contemporary frames in white, black, natural wood, champagne, silver, or gold, along with museum-quality glazing options.

For a 3D arrangement, a custom shadowbox provides the depth necessary to protect and display the flowers.

For pressed floral art, carefully selected matting and framing can give the piece the appearance of botanical fine art.

The goal is to create something that belongs naturally in your home—not something that looks like a temporary wedding decoration.

Wedding Bouquet and Wedding Photo as One Collection

Your bouquet doesn't have to stand alone.

One of my favorite concepts is creating a coordinated wedding art collection using both the preserved bouquet and a favorite wedding photograph.

Your wedding photograph can be professionally printed and custom framed using the same or a complementary frame selected for your floral artwork.

Displayed together, they tell the story of the wedding in two completely different ways: one through photography and one through the actual flowers you carried.

Matching Frames. Lasting Memories.

Can White Wedding Flowers Be Preserved?

White and ivory bouquets are among the most beautiful—and also among the most delicate—to preserve.

Natural flowers are organic materials, and their colors can change as they dry. Pure white flowers may naturally develop warmer ivory, cream, or antique tones.

For this reason, I never promise that a white flower will remain perfectly pure white.

Instead, I work with the natural character of the preserved flowers and, when appropriate, color correction or artistic restoration may be considered.

These subtle changes are also part of what makes preserved floral art unique. No two pieces will age or develop in exactly the same way.

When Should You Preserve Your Wedding Bouquet?

The sooner preservation begins, the better.

If you are getting married in Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, or elsewhere in Southwest Florida, arrangements can be made to bring your bouquet to my Naples studio shortly after the wedding.

Brides outside Southwest Florida can also contact the studio before the wedding to discuss shipping their flowers.

Ideally, contact me before your wedding date so we can discuss the bouquet, preservation style, approximate artwork size, framing preferences, and flower delivery arrangements in advance.

An Original Artwork Made From Your Own Story

There are many ways to save wedding flowers.

My approach is for brides who want something more personal: an original artwork created from flowers that already carry a story.

Your roses are not simply roses.

They are the roses you held while walking down the aisle.

The flowers in the finished artwork were actually there.

That emotional connection is something a print or reproduction can never recreate.

Years after the wedding, the piece becomes more than wedding décor. It becomes part of your home, your personal art collection, and your family's story.
